Marie is a creative force, a storyteller, fighter, a doer, a problem solver and most of all – she’s a good laugh. Her great sense of humour and borderless curiosity adds a twist and nuance to every project. She moves freely between humour, drama, fashion and music and always with visual aesthetics that grabs you. She is a stranger to nothing and beloved friend to everything.
Marie’s got a ton of experience under her belt, she has won a spellemann pris for best music video and been nominated best director during the Gullruten awards in 2019, 2021. Her show Delete Me has won 2 Gullruten awards so far and has received 6 nominations, best drama series being one of them.
A few facts you couldn’t tell by just looking at Marie:
Years before Kim Kardashian gave birth on camera, Marie’s mother did. In 1982 Marie was born on the silver screen in a critically acclaimed movie her father directed.
She loves swimming in the ocean and will gladly spend all day in the water with her sons. (Able to give direction from water too.)
Marie loves directing commercials because it’s what keeps her work and visuals up to date. She is also slightly hyper active and loves being on set.
Her biggest secret is that she adores the smell of dog breath.
Oh, and Marie won a child Oscar at the age of 9 in Hollywood for best foreign actress. She also danced at the Norwegian National Ballett for 5 years, so watch out @ wrap parties.
Marie has lived in Florence, Glasgow, London, LA as well as her birth town Oslo. But no matter the city, she hates public transport and prefer automobiles singing along to the radio.
